Christmas 2020
Christmas in a pandemic is not anyone’s idea of a good time, but here at Dalriada we were determined to make it as festive as possible.
We decorated our office at the end of November and our special tree made it’s 3rd annual appearance. All of our staff feature as elves and our company director, Martin, appears right at the top as Santa. Staff always enjoy looking through the photos when they visit our office. The admin team also worked very hard at building their cosy fireplace!
We continued with our yearly secret santa tradition and presents were collected and passed out to the staff (after their quarantine period). The management team held a socially distanced office party where we opened our gifts. We were overwhelmed with the generosity of our colleagues.
As usual our office was flooded with chocolates, biscuits and cards as a thank you to our staff from our service users and their families.
We also received some very generous donations from local businesses including Leigh’s deli & takeaway, Farmfoods and Spar.
The staff raised funds which allowed us to purchase a small Christmas gift for each of our service users. Over 100 presents were (safely) delivered on the run up to Christmas, including to those who were in hospital.
The children at Grange Primary School in Bo’ness hand made dozens of Christmas cards for our service users, which were delivered by our staff.
On Christmas morning our Coordinator Kirsty, was very busy cooking Christmas dinner for several of our service users. These were delivered by the staff who were on duty.
We are incredibly proud of our team and blessed to know so many wonderful people.
Hoping Christmas 2021 is a better one for everyone.
