Office Update!

Work is well under way next door to our office and we are all very excited seeing the progression! Even though it has been somewhat noisy this past week or two…

I thought I’d take some time to explain the space we’re going to have and how we will be using it once the work is complete. For those who haven’t been in our office before, we currently have two front offices, two back offices, two bathrooms, a tiny kitchen and a training room.

In our existing space, we’re taking a wall down in one of our front offices to create a reception with seating area. This will leave us with one large front office where our admin team will be. Our two bathrooms will remain but we will be turning our tiny kitchen into utility room. One of the back offices will remain as an office but the other will be changed into a stationary cupboard that will also contain our photocopier.

Our training room will not change purpose but it will be receiving an upgrade into a “Training Suite” (More information about our training will be featured on our blog in a couple of months. Watch this space)

In our new space we will have an additional five large offices! No more squeezing several people into one small room. Although, one of the offices will hold a conference table so we will be sure to still get together regularly.

As well as our many new offices, we’re going to have a much bigger kitchen/staff room where we’ll finally be able to eat lunch away from our desks! This will not just be for office staff though.. All staff will be welcome to come here and use the facilities on their breaks, or even on their days off, if they are passing by and fancy a cuppa and a chat. We’ll also have a small WC and a very large store room for files and PPE.

At the front we have chosen to keep an open area. We will have tables and chairs, where we look forward to welcoming our service users and their friends and family members. We’re having lots of conversations about what else we can put in this area. Maybe a tea & coffee station…
